The Chicago Basketball Tournament Network CYBN announces the opening of registration for the Playmakers Winter League
CYBN announced earlier this week that registration for the Playmakers Winter League is now open. It’s an excellent opportunity for teams from all over the city to sign up for the league.
The Chicago Youth Basketball Network (CYBN) has announced registration for the Playmaker Winter League, formerly called WSYL. During the Playmakers Winter League, teams play two games each weekend as part of the series. The CYBN has said the games will be exciting and fast-paced, in a format that everyone enjoys watching and playing. In addition, the league will also include the “Championship Weekend” for each session. The Playmakers Winter League happens to be CYBN’s biggest and perhaps best league game, featuring over 200 teams.
The league schedule is also planned for the winter season, which helps ensure that the same teams aren’t playing every game, and there are MVPs at every game, including an All-Star Night that’s taking place later in March. Schedules are flexible so dates can be selected and added later. However, teams wishing to participate are required to register early to give them the opportunity to participate.

“The Playmakers Winter League is one of the most exciting events of the year. The league brings together teams from across Chicago, from almost every school, to compete in the best head-to-head races over the weekend. Every winter weekend is packed with lots of action, with both boys and girls teams playing some of the most exciting games. Teams fight for victory and pull out all the stops to become number 1. In addition, the scouts and coaches in attendance pay close attention to finding gems that can later play for college teams. So this is the best time for young players to sign up and play, especially because they have the opportunity to be discovered.” Said one of the Chicago Youth Basketball Network executives.
He added, “Youth basketball is one of the most popular sports in the city today. Over the years, events like these have brought youth teams from obscurity, with a growing audience now attending and watching online. Our goal at CYBN is to ensure that more teams get the opportunity to play, and talented players get the opportunity to advance in their careers. In fact, many young players have played for college teams that would otherwise never have been found. In a way, this level playing field gives everyone an excellent opportunity to grow in the sport they love.”
About Chicago Youth Basketball Network
That Chicago Youth Basketball Network (CYBN) is one of the best known and most active in Chicago youth basketball organizations. They currently serve over 5000 teams and the number of registrations is growing every year. The organization helps many schools and other organizations save up to $250,000 annually. However, the increase in the number of teams registering and willing to register will have a positive impact on the sport in general. Although the Chicago Youth Basketball Network is not a tournament broker and does not invest capital in any basketball team, it offers school districts and municipalities the opportunity to rent courts at a discounted rate. That CYBN and its growing network of partners own several gyms in Chicago. The charges are 25% of what they are normally with the same facilities. That means organizations save money and keep gyms filled; a win for everyone.
